Planting Hydroponic Plants in Soil with No Shock

Prepare your hydroponic plants by removing the nutrient solution and reducing the water in the system to harden off the plant roots.

1

Prepare your pot. Choose a pot no more than 2 inches larger across the root mass. Use a large pot for emergency relocation.

2

Pick and prepare your growing medium. Mix equal amounts of perlite, vermiculite, and coco coir.

3

Relocate your plant by carefully removing it from the hydroponic system. Do not tease out the roots to prevent transplant shock.

4

Prune the leaves back to help the plant roots recover. New shoots will develop eventually.
