Wipe down the blades of your scissors or shears with rubbing alcohol to prevent disease before cutting.
Place your cutting in clean water or plant it directly into the soil.
If planting directly into the soil, allow the end of the cutting to dry out for about an hour before planting.
If propagating in water, place it in a well-lit area away from direct sunlight, and change the water once a week.
Once the Pilea plants has three or four-inch-long roots, you can transplant it into a small pot of soil.
