Do All Succulents Flower?

Unfortunately, not all succulents grow beautiful, colorful blooms.

But a few types of succulents flower consistently year  after year.

For example, Crassulas and Portocularia Jades grow tiny, delicate flowers yearly.

Despite being a slow grower, the Desert Rose blooms bright pink flowers.

Even aloe vera, if grown outdoors, can bloom beautiful flowers!

However, flowering depends on the care and conditions a succulent is grown in and how much you’re able to mimic their natural environment.

Other succulents take years to grow a single bloom, often followed by a swift death called the death bloom.

The popular Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum spp.) Agave plants, for example, flower just once before they die.
